Easy Raspberry Cranberry Drink Recipe for Diabetics
(Low Fat and Less Sugar)
This Raspberry Cranberry Drink recipe is a great choice if you want a low fat, low sugar, raspberry beverage treat!
*Note - If you do not have fresh raspberries, you can use one 12 ounce (3/4 pound) pkg. of frozen, lightly sweetened raspberries, thawed.Ingredients 2 cups *fresh raspberries 1/2 cup boiling water 1 1/2 cups cranberry juice, chilled 1 cup ice cubes 1 (12 ounce size)can reduced calorie lemon-lime carbonated beverage, chilled lemon slice (optional) Directions Strain the raspberries with the 1/2 cup boiling water to extract juice.

How to Remove Raspberry Seeds
Discard the pulp, and reserve the juice. You need about 1 cup of raspberry juice.
Cover and chill the juice.
In a blender, combine the raspberry juice and the cranberry juice.
Blend the juices together, adding the ice cubes a little at a time.
Blend until slushy.
Transfer the drink to a serving pitcher.
Slowly pour in the carbonated beverage.
Stir gently, and pour into glasses.
