I have come to the realization that this is THE Best Brownie Recipe ever! Made from "scratch"!
These brownies are less cakey, and more chewy than other brownies.
My daughter served these when we visited her and her husband last weekend ... the recipe is originally from her mother-in-law.
She makes these over and over again ... a "go to" recipe for the best brownies :)
Not only do they taste amazing, these brownies are quick and easy to make in a 9" x 13" baking dish ... and you only need ONE bowl to mix the ingredients!
Note - the raspberries are optional. These brownies taste amazing without them too!
1 cup butter, melted
2 cups brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup cocoa
1 cup flour
3/4 cup milk chocolate chips
3/4 cup *fresh raspberries, optional
In a bowl add the melted butter and the brown sugar and beat together.
Add the cocoa, flour and the eggs and continue to beat on medium high, until mixture becomes "lighter" in colour (about 2 minutes).
Add the chocolate chips, and (optional) gently stir in the fresh raspberries.
Line a 9" x 13" metal baking pan with parchment paper (no mess, easy clean up!), and pour batter into pan.
Bake at 325° F for about 35 - 40 minutes, start looking at 30 minutes to ensure brownies do not over bake.
Yield: Not Enough:)
