If you are searching for a Brunch Cocktail Recipe idea for a Christmas Brunch, New Year's Day (or any other occasion!), here is a fruit cocktail recipe (to make at home) for a special brunch.
A special and easy-to-make cocktail drink (for adults only) can elevate a simple brunch-time to a new level.
This recipe makes one cocktail, so you will need to double the ingredients for two!
After surviving the chaos of a busy Christmas morning, (the kids will be occupied and entertained with their new gifts), the adults may wish to enjoy a relaxing "light" cocktail drink.
It is important that brunch cocktails be kept "light" both in sweetness and in alcoholic content.
There is usually an abundance of sweet foods offered throughout the day on Christmas, (and most likely you have had your share of sweets from the day before:)
A small addition of Champagne, or sparkling wine, can provide good flavour to a drink, with a moderate alcohol content.
1 oz. (30 ml) vodka
1/2 oz. (15 ml) orange liqueur
1 oz. (30 ml) cranberry juice
1 oz. (30 ml) cherry juice
2 - 3 fresh raspberries
Brut Champagne OR sparkling wine
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, and add the vodka, orange liqueur, cranberry juice and the cherry juice.
Shake, and then strain the mixture into a wine flute..
Add a few fresh raspberries to the drink, and then top with Champagne or sparkling wine.
