This Caramel Fondue Recipe makes a great dipping sauce for a fondue party or dessert.
This is a quick and easy recipe for a fruit fondue with only a few different ingredients.
Who doesn't love the sweet taste of caramel?
A kid's favourite for sure!
2 (approx. 14 oz., each) bags of caramel candies
1 (approx. 5 oz.) can of evaporated milk
1 (approx. 10 oz.) bag of miniature marshmallows
In a double boiler pan, melt caramels, stirring very frequently to avoid sticking and burning.
When caramels have melted, slowly stir in the evaporated milk and the marshmallows, until completely blended together.
Transfer fruit dipping sauce to a fondue pot or bowl and serve with a variety of prepared fresh fruit and pound cake, angel cake, biscotti, macaroons, pretzels, etc.
If using apple, pear, peach or banana slices, toss them, or sprinkle them with lemon juice to slow down the browning process of the fruit.
