Raspberry Pie Filling or Raspberry Jam

This AMAZING Raspberry Bars Recipe makes delectable baked bars using raspberry pie filling or jam!

The perfect idea for Holiday baking!

My sweet niece, Alana, made these delicious squares for our family Christmas Party, and they were scrumptious!

Alana, (mother of 6), is a very experienced baker, who, when asked to bring 1 dozen squares to a party, always brings about 5 dozen homemade treats! Thanks Alana!

Ingredients

Note - If desired, you can use raspberry jam instead of the raspberry pie filling, but ensure it is of a thick enough consistency.

If you are using frozen raspberry jam, you may need to thicken it a bit.

1 cup margarine
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
4 eggs.
1 tsp. almond extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 can raspberry pie filling

Directions

In a large bowl, beat the margarine, and the sugar until well combined.

Add the eggs, one at a time, and the almond extract, and continue to beat.

Fold in the flour and the baking powder.

Transfer the mixture into a 9" x 13" baking dish.

Spread the raspberry pie filling over the batter in the baking dish.

Bake at 350° F for about 45 minutes.
