This very quick and easy, Homemade Raspberry Ice Cream Recipe is the perfect idea for a frozen raspberry dessert!
This recipe uses pre-made vanilla ice cream and frozen raspberries as ingredients, therefore it is much quicker to make than making the ice cream from "scratch" (beginning with cream and milk), but ... the taste is amazing ... why not give it a try?
It takes only 5 minutes to make ... then freeze it until you are ready to serve ice cream!
You can make this treat with red OR black raspberries, OR both!
If it is made a day or more in advance, remove the ice cream from the freezer at least 5 minutes before serving.
1 pound frozen raspberries
1 can (approx. 12 oz. size) frozen pink lemonade concentrate
4 cups vanilla ice cream, slightly softened
In a food processor, or a blender (fitted with a metal blade), process the frozen raspberries, until slushy.
While processing with the on/off motion, so as not to over load the machine, add the frozen lemonade concentrate and continue to blend until mixed.
In a large bowl, stir the raspberry mixture into the ice cream, until well combined.
Cover the ice cream, and freeze until firm, at least 3 hours.
Makes 8 to 10 servings.
There is not better ice cream than Homemade Ice Cream!
