A Scrumptious Fresh Raspberry Scone Recipe made with white chocolate chips and yogurt and fresh red or black raspberries.
We ALL know that raspberries and chocolate pair together so well!
These scones are easy to make, and so very delectable!
You can use red, wild or black raspberries or ANY type of berry in this recipe.
If you are looking for a scone recipe with fruit for breakfast, brunch, tea time, or snack time, here is a great one to use!
3/4 cup plain yogurt
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
4 tsps. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup sugar (can use less)
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
1 cup fresh red raspberries (or wild /black raspberries)
In a bowl, mix the yogurt and the egg and set aside.
In another, large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Cut the margarine into the dry ingredients until it resembles coarse breadcrumbs, and then add the sugar.
Add the yogurt and the egg mixture.
Add the white chocolate and the raspberries.
Form into rough triangles (about 6 inches).
Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake at 375° F for 15 - 20 minutes or until starting to turn brown.
When still warm, brush with melted butter or margarine and sprinkle with sugar. Or, mix lemon juice and icing sugar and drizzle over the scones.
