My daughter, Karissa, just made this delicious smoothie today ... it is a keeper!
You can use frozen berries instead of the fresh berries, but you may need to reduce the amount of ice cubes.
Ingredients
l/2 cup ice cubes
1 cup water
1/2 cup skim milk (powdered is okay)
1 cup low fat vanilla yogurt
1 banana
1/2 cup raspberries
1/2 cup strawberries
1 tbsp. whey protein (optional)
Directions
Crush ice in blender with a little water. Add remaining water, skim milk, whey protein, yogurt and fruit. Blend until smooth. Serve.
Makes 4 - 5 cups.
Note - The 1/2 cup raspberries and the 1/2 cup strawberries can be substituted with any mixture of 1 cup of fruit. Be creative, and make your own, personal smoothie recipe.

Did You Know?
Whey protein is a nutritional supplement for those seeking added protein in their diet.
Whey is a liquid by-product left over from making cheese. It contains lactose and protein as well as vitamins and minerals. When dried, it becomes whey powder.
Do you know the nursery rhyme about Little Miss Muffet eating her "curds and whey"? Whey is the liquid left over when cheese (curds) is made:)
