Easiest and Quickest Fruit Dessert Recipe with Fruit and Sour CreamSuch a Yummy Dessert of Fresh Fruit and Sour Cream!

I made this dessert today with fresh red raspberries, black raspberries, and blueberries.

You can make it with almost ANY fresh fruit. For example, pineapple, bananas, blackberries, strawberries, peaches and more!

You can prepare this dessert with only one type of fruit, or a selection of fruits combined.

My Dear Mom used to make this simple dessert with sour cream, and I always loved those lip-smacking moments!

Now I make it for my family, and they love it too!

I chose to put a large dollop of sour cream on top of the prepared fruit. If you do not want the berries to break apart, this method is preferred.

The other method to serve this dessert is to gently stir the fruit through the sour cream. This method works very good with pineapple and bananas!

Try it ... you will love it!  :)

Ingredients

2 cups sour cream, (use "low fat" or "light", if desired)

5 tbsp. granulated sugar, or to taste

fresh fruit (one type, or combined fruits)

Directions

Using a spoon, mix together the sour cream and the sugar, (adding more if desired, depending on the natural sweetness of the fruit).

Allow mixture to stand for 5 - 10 minutes to ensure sugar is dissolved.

Prepare the fresh fruit and arrange in individual serving bowls, or in one large bowl.

Place dollops of the sour cream and sugar mixture over top of the fruit in the serving bowls, OR gently stir the fruit into the sour cream and sugar mixture. Stir only until just combined.

Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Serves 4.

Note - It is possible to use canned fruit for this recipe, but drain the fruit through a sieve, over a bowl, and discard the excess liquid, (or add it to a juice drink!).
